Welcome to Mammoth! We've added another event to the beginning of the week because the boys keep arriving earlier! (And because this is our 10th anniversary!) This is our kick-off event to Elevation 2012, so drive into town and get your ass over here. Or for some of the hard-core skiers and boarders in the group, unwind after your first day on the hill. Each year the number of people who arrive for the Welcome Event grows. Last year was our biggest Welcome Event yet, with over 300 guys in attendance.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT

DJ Beau Dasher makes his Elevation debut tonight at Lakanuki. Be prepared, Beau. These boys are crazy. (in a good way.)

"WARM-UP" APRES-SKI

Last year the Thursday Apres-Ski had over 600 guys in attendance. This year we expect even more...and we're just getting warmed up! Dibs on the cute guy in the Burton pants. Or out of the Burton pants.


SNOWCAT DINNER @ PARALLAX
8pm to 9:30pm @ Parallax

This is a new event as part of our anniversary celebration. Take a luxury snowcat ride up the mountain (this alone is worth it - such a cool experience) and then have a gourmet dinner at Parallax at mid-mountain, with only Elevation attendees. Book this early, because we will sell out. This is really a special experience.


"SANCTUARY NORTH"

The well known Sanctuary Thursday night at the Abbey in Los Angeles goes North to SBE's sister property, Hyde Lounge. This will be our first really big event, with the boys and girls getting together for cocktails, music and carousing. Everyone is in town by now, so the party has really begun. One of our Sanctuary residents DJ Drew G spins (shirtless, I'm sure.)

SKI & RIDE HOOK-UP

Let us be your mountain guides! Meet up with the guys from Elevation and SAGA Gay Ski & Snowboard Club for a morning of skiing/boarding. Intermediate and Advanced skill levels, no charge. "POWDER" APRES-SKI

Skiers, Studs, One Night Stands & Ski Bunnies. Apres-ski events are the snowboarder equivalent of a very HAPPY HOUR. For many boarders (and wank-plankers), this is their favorite part of a gay ski week. It's a traditional apres-ski (which just means "after you get off your board" in some foreign language) with a bit more alcohol, much better music, and way hotter guys.


"HARD PACK" APRES-SKI

We're growing so fast, we need two venues for our apres-ski events. (But there is still only one ticket to get into both events.)


One note about the events where we have two venues going at the same time: We do this because Elevation is too large to fit into one venue. Your ticket gets you access to either venue, with capacity restrictions. You will ALWAYS be able to get into one of them, but at peak time, if one venue is at fire marshall capacity, you will have to go to the other venue. Each venue will have amazing music, hot guys, etc and so on. If you have a particular venue you like better than the other, ARRIVE EARLY. I can't do anything about fire capacity. Your ticket guarantees admission to at least one of the venues NOT BOTH if one is already at capacity.


A NIGHT OF COMEDY
with Dixie Longate, your Tupperware Lady

Elevation Mammoth X welcomes the infamous Dixie Longate for a night of comedy that will leave you gasping for more. You know her from the Atlantis Cruises and her off-Broadway show...let this Tupperware Lady (and I use the term "lady" loosely) take you to new heights of comedy in her first appearance at Elevation.


"THE PARTY @ 10,000 FEET"

9:00pm to 2:00am @ McCoy Station - CATCH THE GONDOLA AT MAIN LODGE

Take a night-time ride in the gondola up the dark mountainside to our annual mountain-top tea dance. Last year, we had to move the party due to weather conditions, but we are looking forward to bringing it back to McCoy this year. The entire mountain belongs to us. Yes, there is only the light of the moon for about eight minutes while going up the mountain, so if you're afraid of the dark... bring someone to cuddle with. (Cause I'm not going to provide him for you, no matter how many times you ask. I'm not the Millionaire Matchmaker.)

Boys, Boarders & A Beach Party. Kahlua is bringing you special cocktails for one of our most popular events, and we're turning a ski week apres-ski into a St Patty's Day Beach Party. Makes sense to us! Wear some green! The Saturday après-ski is one of our biggest events, and a signature event during a ski weekend. Straight (or not) off the mountain, and into the bar. No changing, no showering. (Bossy, aren't we?) This is one of our biggest events, so the place will be packed, and we will hit capacity, so make sure that you buy your tickets ahead of time. If you were there last year, you know the meaning of "at capacity."

And remember, your apres-ski ticket gets you access to at least one of the venues, NOT BOTH if one of them is at fire capacity. If you have one venue you like better than the other, go to that one early.


"DEFROST" APRES-SKI

We've gotten too big for our britches! When Smokeyard fills up (and we know it will!) head on over to Lakanuki for our other, later apres-ski. Make sure you don't stay and party too long...Snowfall and Avalanche start at 9pm.

"MOSTLY BROADWAY"
with Broadway's David Burnham

Broadway's award-winning singer and actor, David Burnham, has starred in such shows at the mega-hit "WICKED," "THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA," and "JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT." In "Mostly Broadway" he delights the audience with songs and tales of the Great White Way and beyond!

"AVALANCHE"
with DJ ROLAND BELMARES

This is our Saturday night main event with DJ Roland Belmares. Roland has spun at some of the biggest parties in the world. We are thrilled to have him return for ELEVATION X.

Because we are a larger event than any single venue in town, we will sell out of weekend passes, and some events will be accessible only with the weekend pass. To ensure that Elevation is open to everyone, we keep prices far more reasonable than comparable gay circuit events or even the other large gay ski events. For the price of one party during White Party weekend or at Whistler, you can attend all of our events.

So please, buy your tickets ahead of time.

AND PLEASE NOTE: When we have two venues going at the same time (Fri/Sat apres ski, and Sat night), it is only one ticket for those two venues. You will have access to BOTH venues until one of them reaches capacity. You are guaranteed admission to one of the venues, so if you have a particular venue you like better, make sure you arrive early. It's 2 parties for the price of one, but I can't do anything about fire capacity rules.

"LAST RUN" APRES-SKI

The Sunday après-ski will be our final event, and after tears and many margaritas, Elevation 2012 will be memories and a suntan, except for the last day of skiing on Monday. Mammoth midweek skiing is legendary - no lift lines and the whole mountain to explore.

We'll make restaurant recommendations each night for dinner, but reservations are up to you. These are not official events, just suggestions, and a complete list of our favorite restaurants will be available in our Elevation Guide.
