GETTING HERE...

DRIVING
Drive Time to Mammoth
4.5 hrs from LA or Vegas
6 hrs from San Francisco
6.5 hrs from San Diego
3 hrs from Reno

Driving Directions from Los Angeles
Hwy 405 north, to Hwy 5 north, to Hwy 14 north to the town of Mojave. Take a right turn and continue on Hwy 14 north to Hwy 395 north (towards Reno/Bishop), to Hwy 203 (Mammoth Lakes Junction). Exit Hwy 203 and drive 6 miles into the town of Mammoth Lakes. Hwy 203 is Main Street.

FLYING
Commercial airline service is now available from LAX to Mammoth on Horizon Air. We have seats reserved on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. To book flights, please contact Jason Couvillion at jasonc@travelcts.com.




RENTALS
There are a ton of different rental options, both in town and at the Village.  We’ll be letting you know about discounts at our recommended vendors as the weekend gets closer.

SKI & RIDE HOOK-UP @ CANYON LODGE
Let us be your mountain guides! Meet up with the guys from Elevation and SAGA Gay Ski & Snowboard Club for a morning of skiing/boarding. Intermediate and Advanced skill levels, no charge. Look for our signs at Canyon Lodge. We will be there at 9:30am on Friday, March 19th, and Saturday, March 20th. For more information visit sagala.org.

LESSONS
Lessons are available at Mammoth Mountain for everyone from Beginners to Advanced and Racing classes and must generally be booked at least one day in advance.  Call 1.800.Mammoth and mention Elevation to be put into a class with other Elevation skiers and boarders. Best Tree Skiing - Chairs 9 & 14 (also the least busy lifts)

Best Bumps - Climax, Cornice, Scotties and The Paranoids – off the Gondola or Chair 23.

Beginner Slopes - Little Eagle, Stump Alley Express at Mill Creek or Discovery Chair at Main Lodge.

Best Tanning - McCoy Station Deck, Mill Creek Deck, or anywhere in the trees. (Bring sunscreen.)

Board Parks:
Main Park – Under Thunderbound Express at Main Lodge. This includes Unbound for advanced boarders, with North America’s biggest half-pipe (the Super-Duper Pipe), and Forest Trail, for intermediate boarders. Along with the Super-Duper Pipe (19 foot walls), a Super Pipe, there are jumps, rails, jibs, and The Colossus banked S-box.

South Park – Under Roller Coaster. Intermediate and beginner jumps, rails, and course.

Jibs Galore – A new rail park for all abilities on Carousel.

Canyon Park – On School Yard at Canyon Lodge. Beginner jumps and a mini halfpipe.
